A collaboration between digital imaging solutions provider Canon and speech solutions firm Nuance Communications means that Canon's multi-function devices (MFDs) now offer cloud connectivity and enhanced office productivity to Malaysian users with the inclusion of Nuance's eCopy PDGF Pro Office 6 suite.

"Canon teamed up with Nuance Communications to offer our customers the best combination - top of the line digital document automation and printing solutions," said Canon Marketing Malaysia's director of business imaging solutions, Ooi Chik Hoe.

"We have a line of multi-function devices (MFD) that works perfectly with the Nuance eCopy PDF Pro Office 6 to give enterprises a revolutionary user friendly PDF file management system, effortlessly moving hardcopy scans from Canon's MFDs straight to the individual computer desktops," said Ooi. "It even saves your soft copy immediately on the cloud storage such as Google Docs, Google Apps and it allows you to convert it into PDF files in a matter of seconds."

He said the compatible series of Canon MFDs that work well with the Nuance eCopy PDF Pro Office 6 included the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5200 series as well as the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C4000 series and C2000 series.

"The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5200 series is designed for a smarter and personalised way of working, giving big or small businesses more usage control and heightened security alongside features such as cloud connectivity and mobile working capabilities," said Ooi. "Coupled with the eCopy PDF Pro Office 6, organisations can be more productive, agile and yet keep operational cost at a minimum."

"Delivering connectivity to the cloud, the eCopy PDF Pro Office has the ability to save and open PDF files in popular cloud services such as PaperPort Anywhere, Box, Google Docs, Windows Live SkyDrive, Office 365, Evernote and Dropbox," he said "It also features Dragon Notes, powered by the world famous Dragon voice recognition software, allowing users to simply speak and create text notes without typing."
