Knock creators see typing in a password to unlock a Mac as an inconvenience.

For years, PC manufacturers were paid handsomely for shipping computers loaded with third-party software. The amount of useless preloaded software got to be so much of a pain that it became known as crapware.

AV vendors like Symantec and McAfee seeded the market by signing deals with PC makers. The scheme worked so well that I would expect lots of AV vendors to do the same with Android. Funny how irritants in the PC world get repeated in the mobile market.
