Going modular in your company
With data centres, it is prudent to consider the costs of not just initial investments, but the relevant cost across the entire lifecycle of the data centre. This includes planning, designing, operation and maintenance of the new data centre.
Here is a checklist for whether your organisation should consider going modular:
- Do you need to own the hardware?
- Do you equire a say in what goes into the infrastructure?
- Do you need to have control over the design and management of the workload?
- Is risk management a concern?
If you find yourself saying "yes" to most of the questions above, the modular data centre might be your best option for highest cost efficiency.
