Adobe CreativeCloud Launched in Singapore

Subscription plans can be purchased for as low as US$600 per user, and will offer access to Creative Suite desktop applications and other key tools.

Adobe CreativeCloud, first made available in the US last year in April, has made its way to Singapore. Adobe Systems Inc. issued a statement on Monday (January 21, 2013) announcing its launch in the island republic, "giving Singaporean creatives their first chance to experience a radical new way of accessing Adobe's iconic tools and services."

This latest offering by Adobe works on a membership-based model. Users pay for a subscription that gives them "unlimited access to download and install all Creative Suite desktop applications, plus Photoshop Lightroom, Adobe Muse, Adobe Edge tools and services, [along with] game developer tools and integration with Photoshop apps," said Adobe executives in their statement.

The first plan to come out in Singapore is "tailored for small and medium businesses," they said, "[and] along with desktop tools, online services for publishing and file sharing, and upgrades and feature updates as soon as they are released...also includes easy management of virtual workgroup, 100GB of cloud storage per user, expert support services, centralised administration for the quick and easy deployment of new seats, and centralised billing and efficient license management."

Called Adobe Creative Cloud for teams, it is available at about US$840 per user on a one-year plan. It is also available to "existing Creative Suite 3 and later customers who have previously purchased Creative Suite software through a licensing program" at a lower rate of US$600 per user on a one-year plan.

According to Vicky Skipp, Adobe's Head of Southeast Asia, her company intends to "now make Creative Cloud the ultimate hub for creative teams, where they can access the world's best tools, store and collaborate across their workplace and ultimately showcase their creations."
