Commvault and Huawei enhance cloud solutions through extended partnership

Both companies will work towards testing and demonstrating solutions for data protection.

ICT provider, Huawei, and Info Management Company, Commvault, have extended their partnership to establish a joint lab in Chengdu, China.

Commvault announced in a press release that the lab will be used to develop data backup, recovery, archive and cloud solutions-ensuring full compatibility between the companies' latest products.

Apart from software and hardware developments, the companies will focus on incubating Data Protection-as-a-service models-to address potential data security issues faced by customers.

The joint venture has generated positive results. Brennan IT, said in a press release that their company successfully made use of Commvault Software and Huawei OceanStor to deliver scalable and flexible Back-up-as-a-service solutions to customers in Australia.

In previous partnership efforts, both companies integrated offering with bundle service agreements and Cloud Data Centre collaboration.
