ECS Computers appointed TmaxSoft disributor

South Korean vendor expands into Southeast Asia market

South Korea's TmaxSoft has appointed ECS Computers (Asia) Pte. Ltd as its distributor in Singapore for its entire portfolio of system software and middleware solutions.

TmaxSoft is based in Bundang , South Korea and specializes in mainframe rehosting, RDBMS, big data solutions and middleware. Its services include modernising mainframe legacy systems.

The ECS Computers appointment comes at the same time as TimaxSoft has established an office in the country to make it the centre for its expansion into the Southeast Asia market.

Hypergrowth  Market

A press statement by ECS Computers, which announcement the two developments, said that TmaxSoft Singapore views Southeast Asia as a hypergrowth market full of opportunities.

Opportunities in systems software would be the result of big data as a service and big data analytics now going mainstream with mid-sized companies in Southeast Asia a significant market for such solutions.

Opportunities also exist in meeting the needs for companies to modernize their mainframe legacy systems.

The press statement listed its major products as middleware (JEUS), data management  solution (Tibero RDMS), system management solution (SysMaster), mainframe hosting solution (OpenFrame), application development framework (ProFrame), big data solution (Infini Data) and web server (Web toB).

The press statement said TmaxSoft has completed over 3000 projects around the world since its founding in 1997.
