Malaysian structural engineering company Eversendai Corporation has selected enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution - Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne - to supplement its ICT framework in Malaysia.

"With extensive expansions over the recent past, our business has outgrown its previous system thus requiring a world-class solution," said Eversendai executive chairman and group managing director, Dato' A. K. Nathan, speaking on 5 January 2012 during the signing of the memorandum of agreement in Kuala Lumpur.

"Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne will provide us with just that as it helps to improve process efficiency, helps enable us to optimise resources more effectively and ultimately helps us in meeting our business objectives," said Nathan, adding that the project would be deployed by Sunway Business Applications, a Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN).

He said that the new solution would help improve the efficiency of the company's operations. "With the new system in place, our operational view will be greatly streamlined. We will effectively improve our cross-entity management and this will give us the solution our organisation has been looking for."

"We are thrilled that Eversendai selected Sunway Business Applications as its implementation partner, knowing that we have deep industry knowledge and experience to achieve a successful Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne rollout," said The Sunway Group president, Dato' Chew Chee Kin.

"We look forward to collaborating with well-reputed organisations such as Eversendai to enhance their ICT capabilities by streamlining their management, logistical and operational processes," said Oracle Malaysia senior director, applications, Ganapathy Sirgunavel. "The selection of Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne showcases our leadership in providing integrated business solutions to enable customers to solve operational challenges that hinder their day-to-day functions."

Listed on the Malaysian stock exchange (Bursa Malaysia), Eversendai Corporation has to date completed more than100 projects across 10 countries, which include Burj Al Arab Hotel, Emirates Tower, Petronas Twin Towers and Burj Khalifa.
