Infor acquires PeopleAnswers to improve its HCM suite

PeopleAnswers’ platform will analyse 39 behavioural traits for job candidates before producing a fit rating, making it easier for hiring managers to select the right candidate.

In a bid to help its customers improve their hiring process, Infor, a business application software provider, has acquired PeopleAnswers, a predictive talent analytics.

"Evaluating talent is one of the most important decisions for a manager, but these decisions are hindered by uncertainty and a lack of data," said Tim Moylan, president for Asia Pacific of Infor. With PeopleAnswers' cloud-based talent science platform, hiring managers can now better select the right candidate. This is so as the platform analyses 39 behavioural traits for job candidates and produces a fit rating.

The 39 behavioral traits assessed include ambition, discipline, energy, acceptance of authority, attention to detail, flexibility, conscientiousness, and empathy. The attributes are weighted differently by job role. According to PeopleAnswers' research, these attributes can provide a better prediction of a new employee's performance as opposed to only assessing the candidate's skills during the hiring process.

Besides benefitting the hiring process, the platform enables HR (human resources) to easily identify, reward and promote their best performers by tying performance metrics to key behaviours of top employees.

The PeopleAnswers platform, which was developed by a team of PhDs in behavioural science, is now available as part of the Infor HCM suite.
