Malaysia's Omesti Group and Sri Lanka's human capital management [HCM] systems firm Microimage have signed a deal to deliver the only cloud and mobile HCM platform that includes analytics capabilities that will help Asian companies to improve operational effectiveness, said the partners.
Local IT conglomerate Formis Resources group chief executive officer Dato' Larry Gan said that the partnership between its subsidiary company, Omesti Group, and Microimage will offer the HCM portfolio to Southeast Asia through a new joint venture known as (Microimage HCM) Asia [MIHCM Asia], based in Kuala Lumpur.
"Microimage has an established track record for developing and implementing industry-leading HR solutions that help organisations manage all aspects of their human capital," said Gan. "In setting up this new venture, we are providing access to this technology to companies in emerging markets, technology that will help them streamline their people management systems and establish HR as the game changing enterprise-wide function."
Also present at the announcement, Microimage chairman and chief executive officer, Harsha Purasinghe, said, "We are delighted to enter into this partnership with the Omesti Group. There is tremendous potential to deliver a range of innovative HR solutions customised for local markets. This new venture will use the financial investments and business links of the Omesti Group to fuel our growth in Asian markets."
Under the partnership, Microimage will transfer exclusive marketing rights for a suite of HCM Solutions to MIHCM Asia, which will appoint a network of distributors, partners and resellers to tap the market in various territories.

Purasinghe said the Microimage portfolio includes the HCM Suite, which is offered via two delivery models; HCM On-premise enterprise version, which provides medium- to large-scale enterprises with a complete stack of 14 integrated functional modules and HCM SaaS, software that is focused on SME markets. Both versions deliver cost and operational efficiencies. The portfolio also includes the cloud-based Social Performance Management System Workswiftly.com which serves as an informative and interactive social feed, capturing goals assigned to employees along with comments posted by peers and superiors on progress.
Founded in 1995, ISO 9001:2008 certified Microimage has 10 years of domain experience in HR working with consultants and related domain expert with a diverse client base of more than 600 customers in the Middle East and Asia.
Omesti, part of Malaysian public-listed Formis Resources, offers security monitoring services and solutions to Southeast Asia companies following its recent international partnership with UK-based cyber security specialist Digital Shadows.
