The concept of the office has evolved, and many of us have become accustomed to reviewing PowerPoint presentations, editing reports and joining video conference calls while travelling or working away from the office in any number of non-traditional locations. Microsoft is catering for this new way of working with Continuum, a feature in its Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL handsets that makes the smartphone act like a PC. (Visit the Microsoft Continuum website.)
At a basic level, it allows you to use your smartphone to hot desk from anywhere that has a monitor. Whether you're at work, a hotel or a client's office, all you need is an external screen, a keyboard and a mouse and you can enjoy a PC-like experience to create and edit documents using Office 365.
But there are many more potential uses which could make this a game changer. Techworld Associate Editor Mike Simons takes a look at the technology in this video, produced by Techworld in association with Microsoft. For more information, visit the Microsoft Lumia website.
