Mark Hachman | Feb. 19, 2014
Microsoft will open its SharePoint conference in Las Vegas by revealing updates to its Lync service as well as better communication between Lync and Skype.

So far, 10,000 unique domains have signed up to use the Lync-Skype integration, Microsoft said, as proof it's moving in the right direction.

"On the enterprise side, we have integrated with Office, we have integrated with SharePoint, we'll integrate with Yammer and make it more social," Mezgec said. "We can do a lot more to expand the network, and ensure that any app that we'll be able to initiate a conference call. And so that's conversation everywhere. If we can do that, we believe we can add even more value."
