Parallels introduces Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac

Also announces new mobile app to help users perform tasks via their iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

Parallels has announced the fastest, most intuitive and immersive version yet of its popular software for running Windows and Mac applications side-by-side on a Mac without rebooting.

The company will make available Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac from 7 September 2011 and encourage users to benefit from more than 90 new and enhanced features.

Parallels Desktop 7 boasts several features including Lion functionality such as Full Screen, Launch Pad and Mission Control, for Windows programs.

This version can run multiple copies of OS X Lion or Windows and their applications on Mac and allow customers to use their iPad, iPhone or iPod touch to watch and listen to Flash videos in Windows on their Mac.

Moreover, Parallels Desktop 7 allows users to run their OS X, Windows, Chrome, Ubuntu and other operating systems, their applications and files on their Mac anytime from anywhere.

Parallels has also made available Parallels Desktop 7 Switch to Mac Edition for those who want to switch from PC to Mac.

Empowering people

Parallels has also announced the new Parallels Mobile app with My Parallels service for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices works with Parallels Desktop 7.

This release allows people to easily perform tasks via their iPad, iPhone and iPod touch that have been unavailable or difficult, such as printing, viewing Flash-based websites and full use of productivity applications like Outlook and Quicken.
