Predicting your storage capacity with analytics

Tim Jones, Technical Specialist, Tintri ANZ | April 12, 2016
Tim Jones from Tintri talks about how predictive analytics in storage will be the next big trend that more and more companies will move towards.

Gearing up to meet the enterprise demand
As the demand for big data increases exponentially, organisations have reached a tipping point in the way data storage methods are able to support high capacity workloads.

Being able to predict data storage growth is a fundamental part of storage capacity planning and a task that traditionally requires extended investment from senior professionals.  Capacity that is not needed to run the organisation, or is on a storage tier that exceeds the needs of the organisation can affect the bottom line and the correct management and implementation of storage utilising accurate planning information can translate into significant savings.

Predictive analytics will help ease some of these concerns and enable organisations and CIOs to proactively better manage their storage environment while having easy access to accurate past, present and future views of their storage requirements.
