Siemens PLM Software has announced that the latest full-function versions of Solid Edge software and Femap software with NX NASTRAN software can be downloaded and used free for 45 days.
Siemens PLM Software is a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services.
Through this offer the company is providing free trial licences for the full production versions of Solid Edge ST4 and Femap 10.2. Customers will also have access to extensive learning resources and have the option to download either or both applications.
Solid Edge ST4 offers several benefits to its users such as allowing them to experience state-of-the-art 3D computer-aided design (CAD) with synchronous technology, and a unique capability which features a combination of the speed and flexibility of direct modelling with the precise control of dimension driven design.
Femap will provide users with high-powered computer-aided engineering analysis (CAE) in an easy-to-use application.
Siemens is offering both the Dynamic Response and Optimization add-on's to NX Nastran as part of the offering. The company has placed no restrictions on the number of saves, and included in these offers, access to a wide range of learning resources that can help users get the most out of the applications during the trial.
All registrants are given access to dedicated user forums to help them get acclimated with the software and allow them to easily collaborate with other users.
These user forums are also staffed by either Solid Edge or Femap technical specialists.
"The most effective method of evaluating CAD and CAE software is to use the production versions in your own environment," said John Fox, vice president of Velocity Series Marketing, Siemens PLM Software.
"By providing a free download of Solid Edge and Femap, along with access to tutorials, user forums and other resources, we are making it easier than ever to perform that evaluation, while at the same time enabling an exceptional user experience. Now, with no obligation, anyone can download the full production versions of Solid Edge and Femap, try them out for themselves, and discover how they can increase engineering productivity, be more creative, and simply design better."
