Besides race weekend/day, how else is AT&T improving Red Bull Racing team's operations?
AT&T has been the Red Bull Racing Innovation Partner since 2011. Our AT&T network supports our entire operations, as well as linking the trackside team at races and test locations to our HQ, our power unit supplier in France, and our wind tunnel in the UK. When racing or testing, we have to analyse vast amounts of data in real-time while not holding up other parts of the business. We also need to simultaneously use this data to support other business units, including communications, marketing, IT, and human resources. And the AT&T network has the capacity to allow us to do this.
What's next for the partnership? Are you looking to leverage any other AT&T's services/offerings?
We are now in the process of adopting Cloud Web Security Services from AT&T. These will help to protect both trackside and factory staff from web-based malware, content filtering and anti-virus software.
Beyond that, we are constantly working with AT&T and our other partners to look for new ways to make the best use of big data, Internet of Things and mobile workforce technologies to improve our performance on the track. Whatever new technologies we adopt, we can be sure that AT&T's support will continue to touch almost every aspect of Red Bull Racing's operations.
