New DCIM module automates workflow management

Emerson Network Power has launched the Trellis Process Partner, a new model added to its set of modules for its Data Centre Information Management (DCIM) solution.

A press statement by the St. Louis, Missouri-based provider of network infrastructure solutions  described the new module as an automated workflow manager for critical data centre activities.

Reduced Human Error

According to the vendor, the Trellis Process Manager greatly reduces the possibility of human error, cause of as much as 70% of downtimes in many organisations whose data centres occupy at least 20,000 square feet of space, classifying them as large.

The new module creates, tracks and views data centre workflow processes.

When combined with other modules of the Trellis DCIM solution, the new module also enables users to immediately view the impact of proposed changes on the data centre.
