Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson and provider of data centre infrastructure technologies, will be releasing a report next month that will provide a glimpse into the future of data centre ecosystems.
The report, titled Data Centre 2025, will be a summary of opinions and survey findings from data centre professionals, OEMs, industry analysts, media and others from the infocomms technology industry globally.
Aside from the survey that was conducted from 13th to 23rd February 2014, the study will include interviews, social media engagements and reviews of existing forecasts. From now till April, the study will seek respondents' thoughts on how three potential scenarios of the future of computing might impact various aspects of the data centre and how the data centre might evolve to support those changes.
"Asia Pacific is poised to account for more than 20 percent of global data centre infrastructure spend in the next two years," said Matthew Kong, country manager for Emerson Network Power in Singapore. Industry players in the region could thus benefit from insights distilled from this study to "better understand the needs of the future data centre industry and stay ahead of the curve," he said.
The full report will be released at AFCOM (Association for Data Centre Management) Data Centre World on 28 April 2014 at the Mirage Resort in Las Vegas and can be viewed from www.EmersonNetworkPower.com/DataCenter2025.
