Fuji Xerox Malaysia president Masahiko Saito said eco.space' would serve as a gallery to demonstrate the company's latest eco-technologies and a full suite of eco business solutions. It is also a centre of excellence where people come together to share and learn eco business practices and initiatives towards achieving a greener business environment.
With the investment of US$ (RM180,000) on the new centre, visitors could experience and learn about Fuji Xerox's ecological workplace solutions such as Optimisation of Output, Optimisation of Print-On-Demand and Optimisation of IT Devices and Document Management, said Saito.
In addition, visitors will be able to understand the many benefits such as cost saving, improved productivity and strengthened security on top of saving ecosphere in a seamless and efficient workflow, he said.
During the opening, Fuji Xerox Malaysia also launched ApeosWare Management Suite, a new integrated software suite to help growing businesses manage their multi-function devices and printers easily from a central server.
Overcoming challenges to green IT
Many of our customers have expressed their interest in going green in their business operations, Saito said. However, there are many challenges in implementing their green initiatives, especially in identifying the right technologies and solution. That is where we come in. By using eco.space as a platform, we plan to share our knowledge and business solution in achieving eco-friendly business environment with all our customers.
He said that as well as sharing eco-technologies, eco-solution and eco-experience via eco.space to Fuji Xerox's customers, Fuji Xerox employees would also apply ecological workplace solutions in their daily business operations. For example, Optimisation of Print-On-Demand is applied where employees need to use their employee identification cards to authenticate for print job release. This solution has successfully reduced print wastage and strengthened information security.
