Thankfully, October's Budget 2015 announcement introduced several incentives and grants that will help ease these expenditures. Epicor welcomes the grant of RM100 million provided to businesses for their employees to attend GST courses as well as financial assistance amounting to RM150 million provided to SMEs for the purchase of accounting software for GST compliance which will greatly benefit companies seeking to upgrade their software and staff competency.
While the majority of businesses comes to grasps with GST compliance, GST-ready companies can already begin to explore how they can further optimise their business processes through improved accounting software features. For example, Epicor has recently made available its GST-ready Cloud ERP software to the Malaysian market.
The cloud ERP software is able to provide businesses with a range of deployment choices and features to best fit the software in suiting their business requirements. One of the many features include the flexibility in deployment: on premise, in the cloud or a hybrid of the two. The cloud feature is useful for managing database backups, hosting companion systems such as eCommerce or for disaster recovery systems.
This will also assist businesses in saving cost in deploying ERP systems and much more efficient as compared to the on premise option. However businesses that require higher performance and faster data management on their finances can choose to run the ERP systems with an on premise or hybrid option.
