From 2013 to 2019, the number of global FTTx subscribers is expected to nearly double from 137 million to 265 million. Led by China, FTTx subscribers in APAC will increase significantly giving APAC the largest base of fibre subscribers globally.

VDSL2 Vectoring, and TWDM-PON are important elements in the evolution of broadband. The latter demonstrates why FTTH remains the ultimate goal for ultra fast broadband - economically and operationally.'s value is the creation of choice. Used to complement FTTH, VDSL2 Vectoring and provide service providers with useful options to deliver more bandwidth to more people - faster and more cost effectively. This means getting more speed out of existing copper assets while continuing to deploy FTTH where it makes economic sense.
