M1 announces data plans for iPad customers in Singapore

Plans are for wi-fi and 3G

SINGAPORE, 21 JULY 2010 Singapore telco M1 today announced dedicated data plans for the iPad with wi-fi and 3G. The data plans will be available from 23 July 2010.

According to M1, the 3G Prepaid Data Plan (GST inclusive) comes with a prepaid data card with a value of S$20, and a 1 GB free data bundle for 30 days.

There are two post-paid plans: Data Lite and Data Unlimited. The Data Lite plan provides 3GB free data bundle for S$21.40 per month, maximum data charges capped at S$51.36. The Data Unlimited plan offers unlimited data for a monthly subscription of S$39.48 (conditions apply).

The telco also said the data plans will be available without a contract and come with generous free data bundles and speeds of up to 7.2Mbps (downlink) and 2Mbps (uplink).
