Extends to Ipoh, Kuantan and Kuala Terengganu and still on plan to deliver broadband to all, says P1
Expanding P1 W1MAX network coverage is one of our highest priorities and the expansion to these three states illustrates our commitment in ensuring that as many Malaysians as possible can have access to quality broadband with the flexibility, convenience and ease-of-use of wireless broadband at affordable prices, said P1 chief executive officer Michael Lai.

The areas covered in Ipoh include Taman Fair Park, Taman Sri Ampang, Guntong, Kampung Kastam, Taman Pari, Taman Silibin, selected areas within Kuantan, and the eastern region of Kuala Terengganu including Kampung Batas Baru, Kampung Batu Buruk, Kampung Kuala Hiliran, Taman Budaya, Kampung Ladang Tok Pelam and Kampung Tok Ku.

Since the launch of P1 W1MAX in August 2008, apart from the places mentioned here, the service is already available in many areas of the Klang Valley, and selected locations in Johor, Kedah and Penang.

Affordable broadband

A large number of the population want and need broadband today and as a challenger brand, we want to be able to meet this large and ever increasing demand. That's why we look at innovative ways to deliver what the public wants, said Lai. For instance, our P1 W1MAX packages start from as low as US$14 (RM49) per month, which is considered among the most affordable broadband solutions in the market today.

Our customers will experience new-world, next-generation broadband and wireless connectivity for the price offered by existing technologies today. This provides tremendous value for money to our subscribers, he said.
