Tintri, a producer of virtual machine (VM)- aware storage for virtualisation and cloud environments, recently named Chee Keong (CK) Chan as its Senior Sales Director for Asia Pacific.
He is responsible for driving growth and opportunities for the company's products and solutions in Australia, New Zealand, ASEAN, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India and South Korea.
"Many markets in Asia Pacific are already highly virtualised, which makes them ideally suited to Tintri's application-centric architecture. We will help organisations simplify management, reduce expenses and focus on the applications that matter to their business. [With CK helping us] grow our footprint across the region, we will be able reach new customers and better serve current customers that are adding or expanding data centres," said Michael McGuire, Chief Sales Officer at Tintri.
Before joining Tintri, Chan was a Senior Sales Director at cloud storage vendor Panzura, where he was instrumental in helping grow the team in the region. He was also once responsible for building the vertical and channel strategy for Asia at EMC Isilon. Besides that, Chan has also held various sales roles at leading technology companies Data Domain, NetApp, Adaptec and Micropolis.
