Another key cost-saving strategy for data centres

Millions of dollars in savings?

To punch home his pitch, Ronnie quoted an archiving case study involving ING Investment Management, which he maintained adopted such strategies to achieve more than US$7.6 million savings from PST File Management, more than US$2.3 million saved by using File System Archiving and more than US$10 million in savings from consolidation of file servers and the adoption of tiered-storage.

Of course, Ronnie rounded off his presentation by outlining the range of products and services that Symantec offers to achieve storage savings, but his address certainly gave me, and the gathered delegates, food for thought.
