Hybrid cloud is another area that we see gaining strong traction in the region. Over 60 percent of Asia-based enterprises are deploying or planning to deploy cloud, according to a survey of senior decision-makers from the Economist Corporate Network. However, the study also shows that about one third of respondents thought the state of data privacy in Asia was a 'major deterrent' to cloud adoption. Hence, hybrid cloud becomes the key enabler for broader cloud adoption.
To cope with the ever-increasing demand of high-speed low latency connectivity to support exponential growth of data volume and hybrid cloud adoptions, telcos have to keep upgrading their network infrastructure in terms of both capacity and capabilities.
