Equinix announced yesterday that it has acquired Nimbo, an enterprise cloud solutions provider.
Nimbo specialises in migrating business applications to the cloud with extensive experience moving legacy applications into a hybrid cloud architecture, and connecting legacy data centres to the cloud.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Equinix said in a media statement that Nimbo's revenue for 2014 was less than US$10 million.
The data centre and cloud exchange provider also said that the acquisition of Nimbo represents an important step in the company's larger initiative to build its professional services capabilities to support data centre migrations, WAN optimisation, and the creation of scalable, high performing hybrid cloud solutions.
"With our acquisition of Nimbo, we have expanded our ability to help customers leverage our unique cloud-density and Cloud Exchange value propositions and assist with the design and deployment of hybrid cloud solutions," said Pete Hayes, chief sales officer, Equinix.
