The AppMarket is a centralised platform where business customers can find, try, buy, and manage solutions with just one bill and one login.

Globe Telecom in partnership with AppDirect, a commerce platform for selling cloud services, has launched Globe AppMarket to provide a portal of cloud-based enterprise solutions to businesses, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Philippines.

The Globe AppMarket offers a collection of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions like CRM, Web Conferencing, Marketing/e-Marketing, and online storage. The app also acts as a centralised platform where customers can find, try, buy, and manage solutions with just one bill and one login.

According to Mike Frausing, Globe Senior Advisor for Enterprise and IT Enabled Services: "Cloud has changed the way businesses around the world distribute and use software. Partnering with AppDirect's robust, enterprise-grade platform will securely handle every aspect of cloud services monetisation and management for Globe, including provisioning, billing, product integration, identity and access, and application management."

Globe, in its press release, said the Appmarket is Asia's "first-of-its-kind-commerce platform" in the Philippines.

"The Asia-Pacific market is a strategic part of our business.  Local and trusted service providers in the region such as Globe Telecom will play a key role in helping Philippine businesses gain access to the software they need, and we will lead the way in powering the cloud economy in the region and globally," said Lincoln J. Lincoln, AppDirect Asia Regional Director.
