ICONZ-Webvisions will help SMEs adopt cloud computing.

HP has recently signed up a regional hosting provider to be its first partner under the HP CloudAgile Service Provider Program that will accelerate the adoption of cloud computing among mid-sized companies.

Singapore-based ICONZ-Webvisions offers cloud and managed hosting services in Asia, Australasia and the rest of the world. As an HP partner, it is helping HP support mid-sized enterprises that are interested in getting into the cloud. In return, working with HP will help ICONZ-Webvisions expand its reach and grow its revenues with the help of HP's support infrastructure.

HP has been signing up partners for its cloud programme given the growing interest of enterprises to get into the cloud. However, some organisations, including small- and medium-sized ones, need some hand-holding to adopt cloud computing.

As a cloud partner, ICONZ-Webvisions can leverage HP CloudSystem, which is what HP calls the "industry's first complete, integrated and open cloud platform," so that mid-sized enterprises can enjoy the benefits of cloud computing. With the HP CloudSystem, ICONZ-Webvisions can simplify the management of cloud services for HP customers regardless of the underlying technology.

"We see a growing demand for cloud computing services in the region and becoming an HP Cloud Agile partner will enable us to take advantage of this trend. Many enterprises are now moving towards hybrid IT environments, whereby cloud services are being implemented along with traditional forms of IT infrastructure, " said Stacy Seah, vice president, Group Marketing ICONZ-Webvisions. "By having access to HP's utility and cloud computing services, it allows us to build a more robust portfolio and also strengthens what we can offer to our customers."

As an HP partner, ICONZ-Webvisions also has access to HP's global salesforce and its worldwide network of channel partners. This way, ICONZ-Webvisions can expand its portfolio of services and accelerate their time to market.

"Success for mid-sized organisations in Singapore depends on their ability to respond to market opportunities and fast-changing customer demands," said Aman Dokania, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Cloud Group, HP Asia Pacific and Japan. "Through HP's CloudAgile Service Provider Program, we are engaging with partners like ICONZ-Webvisions to help accelerate the journey to the cloud with proven, integrated solutions that provide a competitive edge in a rapidly evolving market."

By providing services based on the HP Converged Infrastructure, ICONZ-Webvisions can offer enterprises a range of services, including hosting, hybrid cloud hosting, managed hosting and application specific hosting ranging from ERP enterprise applications to email.

The HP CloudAgile Service Program is open to service providers, systems integrators, and value-added resellers.
