Petron Corp., the Philippines' largest oil refining and marketing company, has chosen Anaplan as the cloud-based solution for its sales and demand forecasting.
A press statement by Anaplan, the San Francisco-based provider of the business modeling and planning platform said, the implementation will enable Petron's management and personnel to collaborate and execute on plans across the organization.
It added that even without technical assistance, Petron's business users are now managing the Anaplan platform.
It said that earlier, Petron had accepted the Anaplan Challenge offered by the vendor.
The challenge involved Anaplan's offer to build a prototype in a matter of days at no cost to the party accepting the offer.
In doing so, the Anaplan team built Petron's applications in a number of days, complete with fully functional sample processes and reports.
It said Anaplan unifies data from across the organization in a secure cloud/SaaS platform and interconnects plans, enabling trust and visibility in the planning process.
Petron has a retail network of over 2200 service stations all over the Philippines and has almost 40 percent share in the overall market for gasoline and oil products.
