Singapore wings into the computing grid

David Mitchell | Nov. 12, 2008
Large-scale cloud provision is often considered to be a trend that is global

Cloud computing is the latest incarnation in the move towards a dynamic model of computing provision that Ovum has been researching for many years. Along the way the terminology has evolved, taking in application service provision (ASP), grid computing, utility computing, software as a service (SaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS). As SVP IT Research, David Mitchell is responsible for Ovum's global IT research activities.
