With the increasing occurrences of security breaches, it is important for enterprises today to incorporate security into their business strategy instead of managing it in silo. Midha advises enterprises to embrace a "holistic strategy focused on connecting security to the infrastructure, information and applications that are critical to the enterprise." He added that the aim is to protect data wherever it resides - on the network, in the cloud, or on mobile devices.
To ensure minimal disruption to their business when they encounter a security breach, enterprises will start exploring disaster recovery plans, said Wong. He predicts that disaster recovery solutions provided as as-a-service based on a pay-as-you-use model will be popular (especially with the budget constrained) as it minimises the high initial capital investment and operating costs.
