Cloud computing to drive deduplication demand

While I would not dismiss the use of tape-based storage in the short- to mid-term, the appeal of the cloud for long-term data retention is so compelling that D2D2C (with complementary deduplication) is something that many organisations will begin to explore as part of their data centre evolution.

So instead of the terrible twins, perhaps I should start talking about the terrible triplets driving the adoption of dedupe!
