Dell has once again topped the Asia-Pacific & Japan (APJ) region with 20.9% unit share in the x86 server market, said the hardware manufacturer company in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the International Data Corporation's (IDC) Q4'13 Worldwide Quarterly Server Tracker, Dell ended the year in the number one spot, overtaking HP.
IDC reported that total x86 server shipments from APJ grew by 12% year over year and 4.9% quarter over quarter.
"We are very proud of regaining the leadership position in the regional x86 market, and attribute our success to our customer-centric approach. At Dell, we believe in keeping our customers at the core of everything we do," said Phil Davis, vice president of Dell APJ's enterprise solutions group. "In order to remain at the forefront of the enterprise technology market, we are also constantly adding compelling products and solutions to our portfolio," he added.
