The move aims to address the growing demands for reliable, efficient data centre solutions in an increasingly competitive and technologically-advanced business environment.

Emerson Network Power recently announced key appointments in its Asia business.

The new appointments come at a time when the data centre market is seeing exponential growth. According to a recent Technavio report, the Southeast Asia data centre market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 20 percent by 2020, due to cloud-based analytics, big data and the IoT.

With the rise of IoT and cloud-based solutions, maintaining the uptime of critical infrastructure is of utmost importance. According to Emerson Network Power, the data centre -- which is the core backbone of IT infrastructure - thus requires solutions that are able to support the surge of data. Intelligent and efficient power, thermal and IT management solutions are vital for businesses to maintain availability, operational efficiency and agility.

In line with this, Emerson Network Power appointed Andy Liu as the Director of small and micro AC power and converged solutions in Asia. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for growing and enhancing the overall power protection portfolio for Emerson.

Meanwhile, Rebecca Ng was named the Head of thermal management in Asia. She will lead and manage the thermal management product and solutions team from Malaysia, to support the growing demand for reliable, cost-effective thermal management solutions in the region.

Emerson Network Power also named Leslie Lee as the Senior Manager of telecom monitoring solutions, focusing on championing Emerson Network Power's industry-leading SiteWeb solution to the Asian market.
