Apple and Samsung Electronics have agreed to end their litigation outside the U.S.
Competitors in the marketplace for smartphones and tablets, the companies have disputes in various countries, where they have tried to block sales of each others products.
"Samsung and Apple have agreed to drop all litigation between the two companies outside the United States," Samsung said in an emailed statement Wednesday.
"This agreement does not involve any licensing arrangements, and the companies are continuing to pursue the existing cases in U.S. courts," Samsung said.
Apple did not immediately comment.
