Apple's annual free 12 Days of Christmas giveaway continues with Ed Sheeran and an iTunes Festival 2012 Holiday Gift EP.

The three track EP features three songs from Sheeran recorded at the Roundhouse, the famous North London venue, which has become the home for Apple's month of free gigs. The free tracks available to download are Drunk, Small Bump and The City.The singer/songwriter commercial breakthrough came with the hit singles The A Team and Lego House, and his debut album + (2011) has been certified quintuple platinum in the United Kingdom.

This year, Sheeran won two BRIT Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough of the Year, while The A Team won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.

Sheeran begins a tour in January that takes in Belfast, Dublin and numerous gigs in the US, many of which are already sold out.

The 12 Days of Christmas promotion runs until 6 January - with each gift only available for 24 hours.

Previous 'iTunes - 12 Days of Christmas' giveaways have included feature length movies, short films, music videos, episodes of popular TV shows, apps including games, books and more.

You can download each via your iDevice or your computer and Apple notes: "To access these gifts, the Region Format setting on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch needs to match your iTunes Store account."

The official Apple 'iTunes - 12 Days of Christmas' is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later.
