Computer security distributor, Arrow Electronics, has acquired Sydney headquartered distributor Observatory Crest.
The purchase is effective as of October 1 and it is understood the companies will be integrated over the coming weeks.
Observatory Crest, which is headquartered in Milsons Point and has 23 staff, represents vendors including F5 Networks, HP ArcSight, Axway, HP Fortify, MobileIron, Palo Alto Networks, HP TippingPoint, AlgoSec, Pure Storage, FireEye, Arbor Networks, BlueCat Networks and SecureSpace.
Its products include application delivery controllers, datacentre, firewalls and VPN, mobile device management, monitors, networking, network management, optimisation tools, security, storage and telecommunications.
It has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Wellington.
Arrow, which is based in St Leonards, Sydney, represents vendors including Check Point Software Technologies, Exinda Networks, Gigamon, IBM Australia, NCP, Skybox Security and Vormetric.
Its products include application delivery controllers, cloud computing, firewalls and VPN, management software, networking, network management, security, software, training and certification, virtualisation.
