UCI International, a leading US manufacturer in the automotive aftermarket, has decided to use Rimini Street to support its Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications in a bid to save a substantial amount in annual support fees.
Rimini Street has experienced strong growth in recent years, which it claims is down to being able to offer SAP and Oracle clients' savings of at least 50 percent in annual support fees, and also reductions in related support and maintenance costs that has seen some companies save up to 90 percent in total support costs.
Although opting for support from Rimini Street means that customers don't get access to the latest upgrades, UCI International has said that it was able to make the move as it plans to continue running its current EBS R11 release for up to ten years.
Rimini Street has said that the move has enabled UCI to meet its budget goals, while focusing resources and staff on key strategic business and IT initiatives.
UCI manufactures and supplies vehicle replacement parts and car care products in North America, with facilities and offices throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe and China.
"Selecting Rimini Street to support our R11 environment was an easy decision," said Mark Wikingstad, UCI's chief information officer.
"The Oracle EBS R11 applications are full-featured and stable and can support our business operations for many years to come."
He added: "We are very pleased with the benefits we are receiving from Rimini Street Support, including significant savings, premium level of service, and strategic value."
UCI International also receives support for its customisations at no additional cost.
It was recently revealed that Rimini was able to more than double new sales in EMEA during 2012, with 117 percent year-over-year growth in new client invoicing.
