Outsourcer Capita has acquired Retain International, a provider of resource planning, scheduling and management software.
Retain International develops and provides people management, planning and forecasting tools that are currently available in 65 countries. The software integrates with the leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems on the market.
Capita said Retain has a strong customer base in the professional services market, including the accounting, banking and consulting sectors. Key clients include the big four accounting firms.
Sean Massey, managing director for justice and secure services at Capita, said: "Retain International provides an intuitive, reliable and secure platform that allows organisations to extract information, including work productivity rates, revenues, budgets and forecasts all from a single point.
"The platform allows organisations to construct more accurate business plans, and make better management decisions to improve work productivity and meet customer demand."
In addition, the platform helps organisations "to identify and track employee skills" so that "suitable training programmes can be implemented to plug any gaps", he said.
Retain International has 23 employees based in London, who will now join Capita, Massey said. The value of the acquisition has not been disclosed.
