Computerworld Singapore honours winning Customer Care ICT companies

The country's best regarded tech solutions and services provider are singled out by their customers for excellence.

Computerworld Singapore yesterday announced the winners of its ninth Customer Care Awards (CCA) at the Lantern Rooftop Bar Singapore.

CCA is an annual programme that salutes the nation's best providers of pre- and post-implementation consulting, support and maintenance work in the area of information and communication technology (ICT) as chosen by their customers.

In the first quarter of 2015, as in the previous eight years, more than 3,000 of Singapore's most progressive information executives were invited to participate in the exercise of rating, on the scale of 0 to 10, the performance of their ICT solution providers and partners in the delivery of services at every stage of a given technology deployment-running from early stage consulting through complete implementation, user testing, and continual maintenance, support and process enhancement.

Their responses were gathered, analysed and audited by regional market analyst house Executive Networks Research-which is the research arm of Executive Networks Media, the publisher of Computerworld Singapore-for the highest accuracy of results possible. The ICT vendors with the highest scores across all evaluation areas in their respective categories won and entered the annals of Computerworld Singapore's CCA history.

This year, 16 companies took up a total of 19 awards. The multiple award winners were: Hewlett-Packard Singapore, IBM Singapore and Singtel with two awards each.

"ICT service providers have faced a lively market in Singapore, one that is also increasingly challenging as the proliferation of mobile devices, means that customers and employees now expect organisations to seamlessly deliver their services across different devices," said Mark Hobson, CEO of Executive Networks Media, the publisher of Computerworld Singapore.  "At the CIO Asia Summit earlier this year, IDC noted that the convergence of technology and business has effectively created a new 'marketplace' where every organisation is now a technology company with discerning demands."
