Digital Realty Trust, Inc. has appointed Bernard Geoghegan to Managing Director, EMEA and Asia Pacific, the data centre services company announced recently.
Bernard joined Digital Realty in April 2013 as Managing Director, EMEA, and has now taken over leadership of the Asia Pacific region from Kris Kumar, who has resigned from the position of Senior Vice President & Regional Head, Asia Pacific.
As the Managing Director for EMEA and Asia Pacific, Bernard will be responsible for leading and driving the growth of the company's operations across both regions.
Bernard is a veteran of the IT industry with over 25 years of global experience in the sector. Prior to joining Digital Realty, Bernard served as Executive Vice President of Colt Data Centre Services. He has also served as Senior Vice President of International Operations at Digital Realty from 2008 - 2010 after joining the company in 2006 as Vice President of Europe.
The appointment of Bernard to this new role has been effective from September 4, 2014.
