The UK-based technical recruiting firm, Fircroft has now opened in Singapore its Asia-Pacific headquarters as it seeks to expand its operations in the region.
A press statement by Fircroft said it will be from its new office at Raffles Place that it will oversee the operations of over 2500 contract engineers in the energy and resources industries in various countries of the region.
These countries include Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.
Its Asia-Pacific office saw its inauguration last February 13 with British High Commissioner to Singapore, His Excellency Mr. Anthony Philippson officiating.
The press statement quoted Fircroft CEO Jonathan Johnson as noting that over one third of their recruiting firm's revenues now comes from its Asia-Pacific region and this percentage is expected to grow to 40% in the future.
He attributed this to the demand from their firm's clients for skilled engineers and technicians.
These clients include major oil firms ramping up their operations in the region.
The press statement also quoted Fircroft's Asia-Pacific head as saying their recruiting firm has plans to expand operations into China and India.
