Malaysian group buying firm Groupon has launched a new microsite to cater to Valentine's Day.

The company's 'Season of Love' microsite offers new deals including beauty and wellness treatments, hotel and travel packages, according to Groupon Malaysia chief executive officer Joel Neoh.

"We at Groupon Malaysia believe that Valentine's Day is not just about expressing your love to your significant other half. It's about spreading the joy of love to all those who have made a significant difference in your life. With that in mind, we launched a brand new site that offers something special for every Malaysian," said Neoh.

"Groupon Malaysia's 'Season of Love' was launched following the success of our very first Chinese New Year festive deals site last month," he said. "We want to ensure our customers are given not only the best deals but also greater levels of accessibility and convenience while on the move, especially during special occasions. With a wide array of Groupons for every extraordinary person, our customers can now enjoy an exciting and seamless buying experience at the click of a button."

"Since entering the market one year ago, Groupon Malaysia has grown to become the nation's number one market share holder of the group buying industry in the country by creating value added propositions for both consumers and merchants," added Neoh. "The company records a database of more than one million members with more than 850,000 Groupon experiences sold to date, establishing itself as a significant shaper of social e-commerce."

"Groupon Malaysia does establish strong parameters to ensure that deals are being provided to match our customers' demands," he said. "In other words, we focus on choosing only the best that our customers want. It is an appreciation and understanding of the consumer market, as well as our commitment and passion to ensuring the best customer experience possible with each and every Groupon that has allowed us to be the number one market share leader here in Malaysia, a fact most appreciated by more than 1500 merchants whom we have partnered with."
