HP Malaysia Imaging & Printing Group (IPG) has announced winners of its 'Be Original' photo competition, designed to educate Malaysian students on the importance of buying original ink cartridges.
HP Malaysia country general manager, IPG, Bernard Chiang, said in late November 2011 during the prize giving ceremony on HP campus that the contest was carried out during several roadshows held at colleges and universities in the Klang valley.
Participants were required to take a photo of themselves with their most original and creative pose/expressions. The photos were then uploaded to HP Malaysia's Facebook page, where fans voted for their favourite pictures, said Chiang.
He added that the roadshows also provided students with the opportunity to experience the attributes of HP's ePrint and Ink Advantage technology and realise the advantages of purchasing original ink cartridges such as higher quality printing and increased efficiency while placing them in the running for the exciting prizes worth more than RM7,000 (US$2,230).
"Being the first contest of this nature that HP has conducted in the country, we are thrilled with the response that we have received," said Chiang. "Additionally, we hope that through this initiative, we are able to keep students informed about the benefits of using HP original ink cartridges while fostering creativity among the youth of the country."
