KUALA LUMPUR - Huawei Malaysia announced a new enterprise division on 7 July 2011 to help it grow market share in the country. The company formed a new distribution alliance with Qantrex Corporation and HD Technology in Malaysia.
The new distribution alliance will offer Huawei Enterprise products and solutions which include routing and local area network (LAN) switching products, storage, unified communications and conferencing solutions, including Huawei's latest Telepresence offering, according to Huawei Enterprise South Pacific regional vice president Tony Zhang.
Zhang said the launch of the new Channel Partner Programme together with the distribution alliance was aimed at reaching out to value-added resellers, system integrators and technology suppliers in joining the Huawei Enterprise Advantage Partner (HEAP) Partner Programme. "We're excited to announce this new Channel Partner Programme as part of our joint go-to-market strategy. This will enable our partners and resellers to grow with Huawei Enterprise Business; bringing new business opportunities, growth and profitability."
He said HD Technology would focus mainly in addressing the government and government-linked company (GLC) market, while Qantrex Corporation will focus on the rest of the requirements in the enterprise segment. "With the combined capabilities of Qantrex Corporation and HD Technology, this will enable both companies to reach out to about 200 resellers within the country."
