With 38 percent impression share on Millennial Media's platform in 2012, Apple iPhone was the most popular mobile phone in Singapore last year.
The latest Mobile Mix Report for 2012 - a review of 2012's mobile device trends from Millennial Media indicates Samsung was the leading manufacturer in Singapore with a total of nine phones in the Top 20 mobile phone list.
The total impression share of the company was 19 percent last year representing two-fold year-over-year growth.
Smartphones were the top most devices in Singapore and iOS led the operating system category in 2012.
In the same year, Android OS was the number two operating system with 38 percent impression share and Apple iPads were the leading devices within the tablet category with 68 percent impression share.
Mobile device trends in Asia Pacific
South Korea's Samsung also led the device manufacturer category in Asia Pacific region in 2012 with an impression share of 32 percent on the Millennial Media platform.
The report places BlackBerry at third position in the device manufacturer category and attributes the growth to high adoption rate in Indonesia.
The iPhone was identified as the top mobile phone on Millennial Media platform in 2012 and Android led the tablet category with 50 percent in impression share.
Samsung was the leading tablet manufacturer with 35 percent impression share within the Android tablet category.
The second position in the tablet arena was taken by Apple iPad with 49 percent impression share. This percentage represents an increase of six percent from 43 percent in 2011.
