Keep gets Google Now reminders

Ian Paul | Aug. 23, 2013
The Android version of Google Keep lets you set reminders based on location or time, a feature already enjoyed by users of Apple's Reminders app in iOS.

Keep's geofencing reminders also can't alert you when you leave a location. So you can't get a reminder to pick-up milk the next time you leave home, for example. Finally, tying reminders to a specific person in your contacts so their information pops up along with the reminder would be a welcome addition.

Nevertheless, even without a few extra features, the new Keep-Google Now integration is a great addition to an already useful app.

Beyond Google Now integration, the new version of Keep is also getting the ever-popular slide-out navigation drawer. The new addition will let you switch between Google accounts as well as filter your Keep content by notes, archived stuff, and reminders.

Google also beefed up Keep's camera functionality by adding the option to create a note based on a new image or a pre-existing one in your gallery.
