Software innovation to improve health
"Microsoft's vision in healthcare is simple," said Pande. "It is to improve health in Malaysia through software innovation. Our goal is to simplify the health delivery process by working with key partners like GLOCO Malaysia, and ultimately help improve patient outcomes while reducing costs."
"The introduction of decision support systems (DSS) in drug inventory management, test result and disease management can also significantly impact clinical processes," said GLOCO Malaysia's Chang. "For instance, DSS can provide an audit trail for security purposes by listing down admissions and modifications by users to each patient's file with a record of the date and time. Therefore, the integrity of data, accessibility and the modification of a patient's file can easily be traced."
GLOCO is an official software provider for the Oral Health Clinical Information System (OHCIS) by Ministry of Health Malaysia, Dentistry division. Meanwhile, in Singapore, GLOCO has been appointed as an official software vendor by Ministry of Health Singapore in a project called CLEO, in collaboration with SingTel.
