Malaysia's Dataprep wins China project

Dataprep will be main ICT and project delivery partner for new US$6 billion resort in China.

"As part of the deliverables, Dataprep has developed the ICT blueprint for the entire development of the Secret Garden Resorts, which has been duly accepted by the client," he said. "The initial fee is US$228,000 for the ICT blueprint, with further potential revenue for the 20 ICT packages to be determined at a later stage. We are now moving towards implementation of the various ICT components for the Client. The 3rd Valley is expected to take an estimated of 10 to 12 years to complete."

"We have the first mover advantage having participated in this project right from the start and we are in a position to make the Secret Garden Resorts a fully technologically-integrated resort," Rizan said.

"This contract is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of Dataprep and will accommodate Dataprep's business growth across the region," he said. "The Secret Garden Resorts project is expected to be one of the biggest revenue generators for the company. In the longer term, Dataprep is poised to undertake the support and maintenance of the ICT systems for the entire resorts."

"If all goes according to plan, we will be involved in this Project for the next 10 to 12 years." said Rizan. "We would potentially have a long-term recurring income as an outsourced ICT partner."

Secret Garden Resorts started its ski operations since January 2012.  The first phase of the resort, located at the 3rd Valley, which will comprise of a five-star Hotel, Suites and Retail space, will be ready by end of 2012.
