Microsoft and Nanyang Polytechnic establish Ambient Intelligence Computing Centre

Graduating NYP-SIT students will be amongst the first in Asia Pacific to be skilled in latest Microsoft Azure Machine Learning technology at this new centre.

Such projects illustrate the potential capabilities of NYP students to develop innovative solutions for next-generation enterprises in support of the key groups that take priority in the Smart Nation vision.

Students a key contributor to Smart Nation

At the launch ceremony earlier today, Jessica Tan, Managing Director of Microsoft Singapore said that this centre is the first of its kind in Asia Pacific through which Microsoft is collaborating with an institute of higher learning to apply Microsoft Azure Machine Learning technology for big data processing in the cloud.

"Through the Centre, they [graduating NYP-SIT students] will be equipped with next-generation skills that will inspire a new generation of innovators to develop industry-grade solutions that will make a real impact on the future of our nation - a Smart Nation," she added.
